Company memory and AI agents: your questions answered

faq

Published

Straight answers on how company memory works, how agents stay in check and where human approval fits in.

What is company memory?

Company memory is the connected record of what your team knows: documents, decisions, conversations and web research, linked so it can be searched and reused. In Constella it lives in a Knowledge Graph, where connections replace folders.

How is it different from a shared drive or wiki?

A drive stores files and a wiki stores pages. Company memory links the pieces to each other and keeps growing as agents and people work, so context carries from one task to the next.

What does a self-correcting agent actually do?

It checks its own work against what it has learned, notices when it drifts from the goal, adjusts and continues. Constella Agents can keep working for weeks on a goal you describe in a sentence.

Do agents replace people?

No. People set the direction, define limits and approve important actions. Agents handle the continuous work between those decisions.

How do approvals work?

You choose which actions an agent may take on its own and which wait for sign-off. See Trust and Controls or the video on setting limits and approvals.

Can I trust the answers?

Every answer is cited back to its source, so you can check where it came from. Reasoning Search works across company data in this way.

Where does my data go?

What agents learn stays inside your boundary, on models you run yourself.

Who is it for?

Enterprises, teams, small businesses, consultants and researchers. More answers are in the company memory FAQ video.
